how do i translate the theme

so whats the best way to do this .. i have not found any documento about translate.
i dont know how to do it

my wordpress admin is pt_BR (brazilian portuguese)
But the options of mentor are all in English

Hi,

the easier way is to use poedit. In the theme "languages" folder, there's a file called "mentor.pot", copy to "pt_BR.po" and edit this new file with poedit. Once you translated all texts, hits save and you should have "pt_BR.mo" generated by poedit, use ftp to transfer the mo to wp-content/themes/mentor/languages folder, edit your wp-config.php and set

define('WPLANG', 'pt_BR'); 

now theme will use your translated strings.
