    Use this:
    Code:
    span#section-21{ color:black !important;}

Thanks, your code just works on the homepage, not on the other ones. I donīt really understand the necessity of this code, in the back end there is the choice for dark or light image titles.

Hi, I didn't quite understand exactly what the problem was from your first post. So what you are saying is that you've selected a black caption in the back end for your slideshow, but its not showing as black? Can you post a link to where else you've used this caption and selected black, but its not working? I'll take a look.

ps. yes I've been away on holidays for a few days, but thanks for your concern

Sorry for not being clear, English is not my native language. Itīs about the caption in the splash image. Caption: light or dark. I chose dark, the caption stayed light. https://zoltanjokay.net/
    Caption: projects, setting is dark.

So you are only referring to the homepage splash section (occurs one time only) and here you would like a dark caption, but when you set it to dark in the back end, it does not work and remains white in the website. In this case, you can use the snippet I gave you above, it will make the splash section caption dark or whatever color you wish (in the homepage only, because this is what I understood we are talking about).

However you mentioned that you don't see the point of the snippet I gave you above and you also referred to it "not working on other pages" but I am still under the impression that we are only talking about the homepage splash section! Is this not correct? If not, please let me know where else you need the caption color to be changed. I will need exact links.

    Hello Donagh,
yes, your code snippet works on my projects page.

No, I am referring to all my pages:

    https://zoltanjokay.net/vita/
    https://zoltanjokay.net/bibliography/
    https://zoltanjokay.net/about-my-work/
    https://zoltanjokay.net/words/
    https://zoltanjokay.net/contact/

Because it takes quite a long time until my questions are answered here, I selected pictures for the splash image that go together with white captions. (Basically dark images.)
Still it would be nice to have the freedom to take any picture I want for the splash image. (Light images with dark captions)

A happy , health new year for you.
